"Do you take requests?"

By far and away my most frequently asked question when I'm gigging is "do you take requests?"

And I get it, a lot of musicians are one way or the other with requests, either they're happy to do it or they prefer sticking to their particular set lists, and theres no "wrong" answr here. After all, no musicians wants to end up[ playing their big closing song in the first 20 minutes of the night because it was requested, or go from an upbeat banger to a soft and introspective indie cult classic, it's all about feeling the vibe of the room.

Me? I love taking requests. Whilst i do pride myself on being able to read a room and hopefully put out the best songs for that particular moment, theres nothing like getting some inspiration from the crowd in the form of requests, and it helps take the guesswork out of it for me and ensure i'm playing EXACTLY what that room wants in the moment.

But it doesn't just start during the gig, if you do book me and there is anything you want to hear in advance, just let me know! I;m more than happy to set myself towards learning some new songs for your event, because that's what it is,YOUR event, and I want you to feel 100% happy with what you're hearing, and any specials songs or artists or even genres that you want to hear, i'm here for it.
